Parts of a Tire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Standard radial tires consist of seven main layers, each contributing to the tire\u2019s flexibility, durability, safety, and fuel efficiency:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Tread:<\/strong>\u00a0The outermost layer, made of a blend of natural and synthetic rubbers, providing heat resistance and direct road contact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Inner Liner:\u00a0<\/strong>The innermost part made of synthetic rubber, holding high-pressure air inside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Carcass Ply:<\/strong>\u00a0Located above the inner liner, this layer consists of textile fiber cords that strengthen the tire and determine its loading capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Bead:<\/strong>\u00a0The edge that secures the tire to the rim, composed of bead wire, steel, and rubber.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Sidewall:\u00a0<\/strong>Positioned between the tread and the bead, it protects the carcass ply and provides flexibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Belts:<\/strong>\u00a0Also known as the crown ply, these steel cords reinforce the connection between the tread and carcass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
